Terms, in plain English.

Grant Developer builds a profile of your nonprofit from public records, searches public foundation filings for funders whose giving lines up with your work, and helps you keep track of the ones you pursue. By using it you agree to what is on this page. It is short and written to be read. If anything here is unclear, write to alex@spktr.ai and ask.

Every match is computed from public filings: who a foundation has given to, how much, where, and in what years. That is a good basis for deciding where to spend a limited number of applications. It is not a prediction. We do not know a foundation’s internal priorities, whether their board has changed, or whether they are taking new applicants at all.

So: no outcome is guaranteed. A high score is not an invitation, a missing funder is not proof they would not fund you, and nothing here replaces your own judgment about who to approach and what to say. Check a funder’s own guidelines and deadlines before you apply.

Anything you submit to a foundation (an application, a letter of inquiry, a figure, an attachment) is yours, sent by you, and you are responsible for it being accurate and for meeting whatever the funder asks of you. Where the product drafts something, read it before it goes. A draft is a starting point with your name on it, and you are the one filing it.

You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, or with Google or Microsoft. Keep those accounts secure. Anyone who can get into your email can get into Grant Developer. One organization is set up per login today, and you should be someone entitled to act for that organization. Use accurate information about it; the whole product runs on the profile being true.

Please do not:

• misrepresent your organization, or sign up on its behalf without authority;
• upload documents you do not have the right to share with us;
• scrape, resell or republish the funder research in bulk, or use it to build a competing dataset;
• use the product to send funders bulk or misleading applications;
• try to break, overload, or reach data belonging to another organization.

We can suspend or close an account that abuses the product or these terms. You can close yours at any time by writing to alex@spktr.ai.

The underlying records (IRS filings, the Business Master File, state charity registries) are public and belong to nobody. Your profile, your documents and your drafts are yours. The Grant Developer name, the design, the research and the writing around all of it are ours. Please do not reuse them in a way that suggests we endorse or are affiliated with you.

Public data goes stale, sources go down, and a foundation’s filing can be two years behind what they are actually doing. We work to keep this accurate and to say where every fact came from, but the product is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, and we may change, pause or withdraw any part of it. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of the product, from an inaccurate or missing record, from a grant you did not win, or from your dealings with any funder you found here. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

If these terms change, this page and the date at the top change with it, and continuing to use the product means you accept the update. These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Questions: alex@spktr.ai.
